# Dedicated Hosting Packages
# About
A Dedicated Hosting Package assigns one or more servers exclusively to a specific package's use.
Website server placement: Websites will placed solely on the servers assigned to the package.
Resource limits: Hard limits are enforced. Once a resource limit is reached, users cannot create additional resources.
System resources: Hard limits are enforced. System resources limits can be overriden on a per website basis. To override system resources, logged in as Admin visit Websites > located website and select ... > Overrides > System resources. More information about system resource limits can be found here. WARNING
We do not recommend providing customers with root access to servers within your cluster, even if the server is dedicated to them. If a customer requires root access, we recommend giving them their own standalone cluster.
# Create a Dedicated Hosting Package
To create a dedicated hosting package:
- Open Settings in the left side bar
- Click Packages
- When the page loads click Add package
- Complete the form. Ensure 'Package type' 'Dedicated' is selected.
- Select Add package to finish
- When subscribing a customer to the package, select the dedicated servers assigned for sole use by this package. You can assign dedicated servers to individual roles or to all roles.
TIP
If you want the package to share backup resources with your cluster, do not assign a dedicated backup role.
