Overview

The Application role provides the following services:

• HTTP Apache 2.4 (opens new window), LiteSpeed (opens new window), OpenLiteSpeed (opens new window) or Nginx (opens new window)
• PHP FPM or LSPHP (one per website, where the website has PHP enabled)
• Screenshotd (internal Enhance service responsible for maintaining a screenshot of website added to the platform)
• FTP (pure-ftpd)
• Filerd (internal Enhance service which powers the web based file manager)

When installing the application role (opens new window) you will be able to select your webserver kind (Apache, LiteSpeed, OpenLiteSpeed or Nginx). A different webserver kind can be selected for each of the application roles installed on your Enhance cluster. You can also switch the webserver kind (opens new window) a server is running at any point without any configuration changes.
